Colorado Hornets Athletics Youth Organization

The Hornet Difference

We are an organization operated by volunteers and as hard as we strive for perfection, we have come to the understanding that perfection is not attainable. Knowing this, we believe the best use of our energy is to focus our time and efforts on what we do well and what we could do better, in doing this we will be able to accomplish our MISSION. Please, take the time to read; why, how and the what makes COLORADO HORNETS.

Why we do, what we do.

To inspire and develop authentic mature athletes that understand and are disciplined to excel in life. Our mission is simple; establish an environment where players have a positive atmosphere to become better basketball players and athletes. Colorado Hornets provide the opportunity for players to take their game to the next level. We exist to make a positive difference in the lives of our players by keeping them off of the streets and helping them grow into responsible young men and women. Our goal is to develop happy, healthy and confident players. We strive to provide a safe, fun and successful experience for every player

How we do it

By setting attainable standards, that encourage and promote; leadership, teamwork, dedication, responsibility and accountability on and off the court. Holding all players accountable for their work ethic, compassion and loving on them unconditionally.

What it is, that we do

We condition, train and educate using methods that foster the development of the complete athlete; Physically, emotionally and mentally so they can succeed at whatever they do. The Colorado Hornets are about a lot more than basketball. We are family, together we are improving a community and family one child at a time. The bigger question, are you in?

Levels of Play

Colorado Hornets have teams at all different skill levels

Recreational/Developmental

Elite

Yes, that is correct 7 days a week they are working on developing into the best of the best. This requires a significant amount of time on the players and the parents. Our Elite players travel out of state 3-6 times a year.
